Downgrade from Premium to Free - Do I loose my 3 free month I received from friend?

I just got a 3 month gift card from a friend for Premium.

Now I want to cancel Spotify and downgrade to free. Do I loose the 3 free month when doing this or do they continue when I come back to premium in let's say a couple of months?

You will lose your Premium after the 3 months you paid for are over, and there will be no recurring charges.
