Linking and Unlinking Facebook from a Premium Account

Hi,

I have a premium Spotify account that I setup with a login that is not connected to facebook. I'm considering linking the account to my Facebook account (which I understand how to do I believe.) If I dislike the two being connected I'd like to dissconect them hassle-free. I couldn't find the specifics of if this is possible because it seems the answer has changed over time. Will I be able to do this?

Hello wa2, I did a little poking around in my account for you. I couldn't find a way to disconnect from the website (I am a little blind, however), but from the desktop app if you go to your preferenced (Edit > Preferences [ctrl+p]) and scroll down, there are social settings, and once you are connected to Facebook, one of them is a big blue button that said "Disconnect from Facebook." That's great! Thanks for the help - I've connected and I see how to disconnect. However 2 new issues have popped up - maybe you have some insight. ONE: The account button in the top right corner shows my name and picture but when I click on it for my profile it shows my old username - I was hoping this would update to my facebook name, will it? TWO: None of my facebook friends show up when I click on find friends even though I know they are using the service. Thoughts?

Hello!

If you'd like to unlink your accounts on the future, disconnecting is way easier since you have a dedicated Spotify account.

In the desktop client:

• Windows - Go to Edit > Preferences > Social Network > Disconnect from Facebook.
• Mac - Go to Spotify > Preferences > Social Network > Disconnect from Facebook. 

Once you have done that, your Spotify account is no longer linked to Facebook!

From what I see on my account, both those things will update soon. I have my Facebook username, and all of my Facebook friends under the "Find Friends" button. It just takes a little time for everything to sync up. If it's been a few days and you still don't see these things, let me know.
