My Question or Issue
I have been using Spotify on my firestick for many months without issue. As of yesterday, I am not able to open Spotify on my Firestick.
I have so far done the following:
1. Attempted to log in with the UN & PW directly on the Firestick
2. Attempted to open by sending to my Firestick from the app on my phone.
3. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app
4. Checked for updates
5. Factory reset my firestick and reinstalled the app again.
I am still seeing a black screen with the Spotify logo and text that just says "Error" followed by a long string of characters.
Here are 3 of the many many error codes that have shown up on my screen:
Error da81c6db8836418da2eccbeb36840963
Error cc8657a044a7406c92c8533ca3ac763a
Error 9e6dac01538f451f99cb615c816d15a
Please help! I am paying for premium service, but this doesn't feel very "Premium".
Hey,
Have you tried playing something new on your mobile phone and then restart app on Firestick ?
//S
The same happened on my Fire TV stick.
I solved it with this procedure:
Settings --> Manage Apps --> Spotify
then:
--> Clear data
--> Clear cache
Then I got back into Spotify, entered my credentials (they'd been erased in the process) and got in w/o problem.
I'll give spotify another couple of days and then ditch my subscription to premium
Hey everyone,
Thank you for posting and searching the answer you need here.
As @LDLee mentioned, there is currently an Ongoing Issue, where the Spotify app is not working correctly on Amazon Fire TV. You can +VOTE and subscribe to it here, if you haven't already. The folks at our tech team are currently looking into this and we'll post any updates on the matter there, as soon as there are any.
