Charged £4 instead of £9.99

Charged £4 instead of £9.99

I saw on my bank account the recent spotify charge and it was listed as being £4. Is there a reason for this?

Hey there @Xmaddison, welcome to the community!

Sounds like you may be on the Student Discount or a different offer. Check your receipts page to see what exactly it is. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns! 🙂

@Xmaddison That's definitely interesting. Can you post a screenshot of your receipts page and that statement from your bank?

@Xmaddison Looks like that $4 charge got charged a day later than the date listed on your Spotify account. That's definitely interesting for a charge of $4. What does it show on your Paypal account? Maybe you had a Paypal balance?

http://imgur.com/tHsdOiT that's the PayPal account, which shows £9.99. There wasn't a PayPal balance before that.

@Xmaddison Hmm, I'm going to ask the team what's going on. I'll let reply as soon as I hear something.

Hey @Xmaddison!

Can you get in touch with the payments team through the online contact form or @SpotifyCares on Twitter? They'll need the Paypal Invoice ID so they can take a better look at what happened. If you contact them through the online contact form, be sure to reply to the automated e-mail if you receive one so it can be directed to the right team. They should reply back within 24 - 48 hours.
