How do I remove my spotify discount?

Hi so I have been using my student discount for almost a year (i think) now and I have recently made a new account, I'm currantly on the 30 days free contract but I can not get my student discount on my new account even though I have already cancelled my supscrision on my old account.. help?

Do you get any error messages?

If you're in the US, try using this site to validate.

If it succeeds, when you log back in your Spotify account, and look under the subscription tab the price will change to $4.99 for your upcoming renewal date.
