I got premium for Spotify on Playstation Music, but did not receive it on other devices.

I got premium for Spotify on Playstation Music, but did not receive it on other devices.

As the title says, I recently bought Spotify premium on my PS4 using the Playstation Music app. I bought a monthly subscription and it is clearly accepted on the app on ps4, it is also accepted on the playstation website. However Spotify have not recognised that I have premium on their website or on any of my devices, there is no receipt recorded in my spotify account on the website. 

I have checked multiply times and can confirm I definitely have a subscription on my PS4. I did try troubleshooting this issue, but because the app is new to ps4 there is no record of the issue.

PS they are both the same account. Same name and same playlists.

I'm having the same issue. Just got the premium through my ps4 (received the receipt for the subscription from Sony) but my account still as non premium. 😕

It didn't work unfortunately. I even tried using the receipt code that I've received from Sony PSN but Spotify didn't accept its number. I'm already in touch with Spotify support and as soon as I have my account as a premium one again or at least a workaround I'll let you guys know.

Im having the same issue as well, I have talked both to Sony and Spotify about the problem and am getting the runaround. They are saying that since i purchased the subscription through the playstation network that my account is through sony, which is true. But im a premium member on my ps4 and nowhere else (phone, computer etc.) So the issue clearly is with spotfiy itself. Im so frustraded and my free 2 month trial is just going by while i only have access to it via one way (ps4). If you get any resolve please let me know. Im very disapointed with how this is being handled.

I DO  NOT recommend you to subscribe to premium or anything else related through PLAYSTATION 4.

 

 

 

 

 

Finally got a solution for this matter.

 

I had to open a ticket with Spotify support, explain the whole situation and  it took three days for a proper solution/answer.

It seems like they had to check with Sony if everything was OK with the payment .

 Also having the same issue signed up to premium and paid through Sony but not recognised on any other spotify service, both Spotify and Sony want me to talk to the other party.  Very frustrating.  Went through the process of uninstalling/reinstalling apps etc. with no results.  

Solution that worked for me:

 

Use the spotify app on your phone to conect to your playstation.  (via settinggs, spotify connect)  Once I got the app talking to playstation app everything updated.  Now spotify registers the premium subscription. 

 

Spotify offered no solutions to me for this, told me to get in contact with sony.  Sony offered no solutions told me to get in contact with spotify.  Really useless. AVOID SIGNING UP TO SPOTIFY THROUGH PSN.

That worked strait away!
