Moving to different country with family plan but no card details

Moving to different country with family plan but no card details

I will be moving home to my family and have got an invitation for the family plan but already have an existing premium plan. How do I change the country without entering new card details?

Hey @Sharolynong7,

Unfortunately, you can only change your country by updating your billing address and payment method.

After updating billing address and payment method, your account will be set to the new country at your next payment date.

I can update my billing address but it requires me to enter card details in
as well. Will it charge me if I do although I am not the paying account?

It may charge you only if you don't cancel your current subscription. You can do so by following the steps described here:  https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/managing_payments/how-to-cancel-your-subscription/

I have cancelled my current subscription. Does this mean that although I
put new card details in, I will not be charged when I put in the code for
the family plan?

If you wait until your current subscription ended, you should be able to change your accounts country without updating the payment method + billing address.
