Paid for premium, still says "free" account.

Paid for premium, still says "free" account.

I had no idea about the student discount and I was so happy when I found out about it. So I decided to buy it. And it charged me and then it went back to the pay page. But I had already put my card information in and I saw in my checking account that it did charge me. So I went to play my choice of song and it wouldn't let me. It still says free account although it charged me. I'm so confused and irritated and I wish I could talk to someone from customer service but all I could do was email them and they sent me an automated message with this spotify community thing. Someone please help.

Hi gisseller,

 

I am browsing from home and as such cannot check your account to see what is going on, but I expect that you are seeing one of the problems with the Student discount.  Sometimes the payments 'taken' are just authorisations from your bank - this shows as a debit to you, but not a payment to us - hence no Premium.

 

Please reply back to that auto-mail asking you to check the Community.  This will put the case into the live filter and an agent will get you soon.
