My music stops when someone else listens?

hi guys!

recently, i purchased a spotify family account which both my sister and I use (we have paid for 2 devices to be able to use spotify) but everytime she or i listen to music, it always cuts the other persons music off. I feel that as i have paid for two people to use the account there may be a mistake here but it is very annoying! so how can we make it that both she and i can listen to music at the same time without conflict? any help would be really appreciated 🙂

Maybe she needs to log out out of your account and log into her own account :). That can be done in the settings of the Spotify app

Hey @emilysheehy1,

 

It sounds like you're using one account to listen to music on Spotify. All family members need to have their own account, so they'll be able to listen to music at the same time.

 

To invite someone to join one of the allotted subaccounts in your plan:

  1. Go to your account page.
  2. Under 'Manage your family accounts', click GO.
  3. Click on an available Empty Slot.
  4. Click INVITE MEMBER BY LINK or enter the e-mail of the person you want to invite.
  5. Click SEND INVITE.

thank you for your answer! but unfortunately this is what we have already done, she has accepted the invitation but whenever she opens up spotify on her phone, it opens up onto my account! 😞
