My Question or Issue
Some podcast episodes don't show up in New tab once they are released. I checked and I have the podcast in followed, it shows up in my library but new episode was released and it is not in new. It happens for a few podcasts I follow but not all of them which is why I wanted to know what is happening.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
For starters, make sure both the Spotify app and OS are up-to-date. If they are, we'd recommend reinstalling the Spotify app. You won't lose any content, but you might need to download your offline music again.
On another note, let us know if this only happens in one device in particular. If you haven't checked, you can verify from a different mobile device, the desktop app, or the Web Player.
Lastly, send over screenshots of the behavior in one of the Podcasts this happens with. We'll take a look.

Here are screenshots with an example. Tale of the Manticore podcast does not appear in New (Nowości) even though it is followed (Obserwujesz) and new episode was added. Both my OS and my app are up to date. I haven't tried reinstalling app yet.

Could you try clearing stored cache to see if you notice any difference? Once it's done, try signing out and back in again. These actions should resync your account info.
We also recommend a clean reinstall, should the issue persist. This will clear cache too, as well as ensure that you're running the latest version.
If that doesn't do the trick, can you let us know if it happens on any other devices that you use Spotify on? Does it happen when connected to another network?

I cleared cache and did clean reset. Podcast still doesn't show in New, it also doesn't show in web version on Windows 10 and 11 and there is no such option as New on Chromecast.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop!
Just to check, does the latest episodes appear if you unfollow the podcast & then follow it again?
If possible, could you also ask a friend or a family member to follow one of the podcasts on their own account to see if it appears in New Episodes?

Unfortunately neither is working - it doesn't show up on my wife's account and it doesn't show after doing unfollow-follow.

Could you also check if the new episodes appear in the What's new category? You can access it from Home > click on your profile picture in the top left corner > What's new. There you can also filter between music and podcasts & shows and in this section, you'd see new releases from artists and shows that you follow.

Unfortunately no, even when I filter it certain shows just aren't mentioned there. On the other hand if I click the bell they do show up as a notification outside of Spotify - but still no mention in New.

Here is another example. Podcast is followed by me. In New tab at the time of publication where new episode should be visible it is not.
Additional information - when I click on bell icon I can see notifications about new episodes on my main screen but they are still now visible in New episodes.

Just to make sure we understand you correctly, did this start happening with one certain podcast, but then you noticed you weren't seeing other podcasts' new episodes? Could you send us some links to episodes so we can also test on our end?
On another note, what we also recommend is logging out > logging back in twice in a row as this can help resync your account and the devices you're using.

It started months ago when I saw this happen with one podcast. Recently I started realising problem affects more podcasts, that's why i looked through Spotify FAQ and support and finally ended up here.

Today I got notification about new episode because I clicked the bell icon. It now shows in New, not the other podcasts though.

Our teach teams were not able to recreate this issue and with all the troubleshooting we've tried so far it does seem like it's isolated to certain shows and set ups. What we would've recommended is to click on the bell icon for the shows you'd like to get notified about and hopefully they will be showing up the What's new area.
For now keep the app up to date to get the latest fixes and updates which could solve this.
